“This partnership is the beginning of Telmap’s expansion into the Asia Pacific market and is part of our global strategy to lead mobile search, mapping and navigation across the globe” said Oren Nissim,CEO of Telmap.
Optus has 7.7 million customers and is part of the SingTel group which encompasses over 250 million mobile customers through its subsidiaries in Australia,Bangladesh,India,Indonesia,Pakistan, the Philippines,Singapore and Thailand. So far some of the group subsidiaries (Bharti Airtel and SingTel) have been working with Wayfinder, however with the acquisition of the Swedish company by Vodafone there is no way these existing partnerships will have a viable future.
