Zoombak Launches Advanced GPS Locators for Vehicles

Zoombak LLC announced today that it launched its first Zoombak advanced GPS locators and related services for pets and autos. The Zoombak locator is now available for purchase online at zoombak.com, and at major national retailers in early 2008.

The Zoombak locator is one of the first Assisted-GPS (“A-GPS”) devices designed specifically for use by everyday consumers and will be sold nationwide at leading electronics and specialty pet retailers. Priced from $199 - $249, for pet and auto applications, respectively, Zoombak is smaller than a deck of cards and weighs less than three ounces, yet when activated can help find dogs and vehicles coast-to-coast, 24 hours a day and can promptly notify users about location by text message and email alerts.

BMW chooses Trafficmaster to provide stolen vehicle tracking

BMW has teamed up with Trafficmaster to provide Trackstar, an advanced stolen vehicle tracking service, to the BMW and MINI ranges of premium cars in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

The three-year deal sees the Trafficmaster system replace the incumbent supplier in providing car owners with vehicle protection and peace of mind. Trafficmaster’s advanced intelligent driving solutions including Smartnav, Safe Speed camera warning and Fleet Director* will also be offered to BMW and MINI customers who have Trackstar installed in their vehicles. BMW UK expects an estimated 20,000 people a year to choose the system.

SARS Launches Fleet Tracking Service, SARS RoadTrac

SARS and SkyWave Mobile Communications to Improve Safety, Security and Efficiency of Road Transport Industry

SARS Corp. has launched SARS RoadTrac, a fleet tracking service for the road transport industry. SARS RoadTrac utilizes the integrated satellite/GPRS SureLinx satellite terminal from SkyWave Mobile Communications.

SARS commenced shipment of SureLinx units to North American SARS RoadTrac customers in Q3 2007 and anticipates further sales to midsize fleet operators. SARS RoadTrac integrates with a broad range of hardware platforms and is designed to improve the safety, security and operational efficiencies of midsize road fleets.

SysLOCATE Launches S3000i GPS Vehicle Tracking Unit

SysLOCATE has added an internal antenna to the S3000 GPS Vehicle Tracking Units cutting installation time in half. This new feature makes installation quick and easy, generating a very beneficial cost savings to lot managers. Internal antennas also eliminate issues with pinched cables resulting in higher reliability.
