Verizon Wireless Chaperone: Kid Tracker
Verizon Wireless has introduced Chaperone, a service for parents who want to track their children, aged 5 to 10, or provide them with a cell phone that can only call home, or other permitted numbers.
The lime green LG Migo is the kid friendly phone issued to the youngter. It is designed for easy operation by the youngest children. Parents can view their child’s location on the Internet, or on their phone. An optional feature, Child Zone, sends text messages to parents when the child’s phone leaves a designated area. The service requires the Migo phone and a Verizon Family Share plan. The location service itself is $9.99 per month. Child Zone is $10 per month additional. The phone is $49.99 with a two-year service agreement.
