Useful Networks and 1020 Placecast have announced this week that they have joined forces to provide mobile advertisers with a store locator service tied directly to the consumers’ real time location. With this service marketers will be able to provide a location-customized landing page for consumers clicking on their banners on the mobile web. This landing page could include a map,directions and local phone number for the nearest retail store in real-time.

Useful Networks,a cross-carrier location aggregator for both carriers and content providers,will provide Placecast with privacy-protected locations of users who request location-relevant content.

1020 Placecast is a location-based advertising solution that creates better relevance for marketers through localized dynamic messaging and granular geo-targeting on mobile devices and the Web. Using the location delivered by Useful Networks,the Placecast engine will build customized landing pages in real-time.
