Use cases

Designed for assets that make the return journey.

LoopTag is for the reusable items that quietly leak out of a network — the ones nobody tracks because a cellular device per unit was never realistic.

Returnable crates, totes and packaging

Know which pooled containers are still in circulation, which are sitting at a customer site, and which never came back.

Tool and equipment cases

Follow flight cases and tool kits between depots, engineers and job sites without a tracker subscription on each one.

Rental and demonstration equipment

See where demo units were last seen and how long they have been on site before the return is chased.

High-value spare parts

Tag service exchange units and spares so recovery does not depend on paperwork.

Roll cages and reusable transport items

Track the reusable transport furniture that quietly disappears across a network.

How it works

Sightings, not satellites.

LoopTag is not a GPS or cellular tracker. Location updates are generated when compatible nearby connected devices detect the BLE signal, so coverage and update frequency depend on the surrounding network.

1

Attach and assign

Fix LoopTag to the asset and assign it in GoAndTrack, so every sighting is tied to a named crate, case or unit.

2

Nearby devices detect it

Compatible nearby connected devices pick up the BLE signal as the asset moves through depots, vehicles and facilities.

3

GoAndTrack makes it useful

Sightings become location history, geofence arrival and departure events, and operational insight you can act on.

What GoAndTrack adds

A tag is only useful if the platform is.

LoopTag data lands in the same workspace as the rest of your estate, with location history, battery status, geofencing and shipment mode already live.

  • One view alongside your GPS trackers, smart labels and condition monitors
  • Last-seen location and full sighting history per asset
  • Geofence arrival and departure visibility for depots, customer sites and yards
  • Return-due, overdue and not-seen-recently views you can build from sighting and geofence data
  • AI-assisted questions such as “Which cases have not returned?” or “Where was asset 447 last seen?”
Commercial value

One tag, repeated journeys.

The economics of reusable assets are about attrition and idle time, not second-by-second telematics.

Fewer assets lost

Reusable packaging leaks out of a network slowly and invisibly. A last sighting turns a write-off into a recovery.

Less time searching

Teams stop walking yards and calling sites to find a case that a sighting record could have pointed to.

Better utilisation

Dwell and return-cycle visibility shows where containers idle, so you can right-size the pool instead of buying more.

No SIM per asset

Cellular hardware and airtime rarely stack up on low-value reusables. LoopTag adds visibility without a subscription on every item.

FAQs

LoopTag questions, answered honestly.

Does LoopTag use GPS?

No. LoopTag is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) tag, not a GPS or satellite device. Its position is reported when compatible nearby connected devices detect its BLE signal, and those sightings are delivered into GoAndTrack as last-seen locations and sighting history.

Does it need a SIM or monthly mobile-data plan?

No. LoopTag has no SIM and no cellular subscription. That is what makes it practical to tag large populations of reusable, lower-value assets that would never justify a cellular tracker each.

How often does its location update?

There is no fixed refresh interval. A new sighting is generated whenever a compatible nearby connected device detects the tag, so update frequency and coverage depend on how busy the surrounding network is. Expect strong sighting density around depots, facilities and populated routes, and sparser sightings in isolated locations.

What assets is it best suited to?

Assets that make the return journey: returnable crates and totes, tool and equipment cases, rental and demonstration kit, high-value spare parts, roll cages and reusable transport items.

Can it appear alongside our existing trackers?

Yes. LoopTag sits in the same GoAndTrack workspace as your GPS trackers, smart labels and condition monitors, so mixed hardware estates are managed in one map, one history view and one set of geofences.

Is it suitable for temperature-controlled shipments?

Not on its own — LoopTag has no temperature sensor. For cold chain or condition-sensitive goods, pair a suitable condition-monitoring device with your LoopTag deployment so location and temperature evidence sit side by side in GoAndTrack.
