What is shipment visibility?
Shipment visibility means knowing where a consignment is, how long it has been there, and what condition it is in, while it is still moving — early enough to do something about a problem.
The traditional answer is carrier milestone scans: collected, arrived at depot, out for delivery. Those scans are coarse, delayed and stop entirely when a shipment is handed between carriers or sits somewhere it should not.
